Hoja Verde is one of the best-known farms in Ecuador. It sits near Cayambe at 2,777 metres, and in the trade its roses are treated as a reference point for bloom size and variety. We supply them directly to florists and wholesale customers in Germany.
What sets our partner farm Hoja Verde apart
Hoja Verde farms four sites across the Ecuadorian highlands, more than 30 hectares in total. The roses come with stems between 60 and 120 cm, heads up to 9 cm, in over 100 varieties. What makes the difference is the altitude: at 2,777 metres the plants grow more slowly. That gives deeper colour, sturdier stems, and roses that last considerably longer than lowland-grown ones. Sorting is done by hand, rose by rose.
